DOMAINS SOLD IN 2008
Some of the big domain names that exchanged hands in 2008 have commanded amazing
prices.
The biggest sale so far for a domain name this year is
FUND.COM. This name was sold for $9,999,950. Just $50 more would have made it an 8-figure transaction.
The runner up is DATARECOVERY.com sold at $1,659,000.
3rd place goes to CRUISES.CO.uk sold at Euros 560,000. (Approximately $ 1,099,798)
I myself have a domain name on sale BRITNEY.TV
For more domains for sale, you can go to
IncomeTechnology.com
and see all my domains for sale or search for available domains on the services page of that site.
There is a great resource in the market explaining the Domain Name Market, and how
to make some real money, for a small investment of less than $40.00 check out

Accidents at your business place
This post is about something I read today and want to share it with you. It is not apllicable to online businesses but more for brick and mortar business.
Accidents do happen. If you are a small business owner or even a big business, and somebody, (client, visitor, employee) slips or hurts himself, this could be a problem.
The following steps should be taken to cover yourself.
1. YES...CALL 911
2. YES...Attend to the injured person.
3. NO..Do NOT apologize for the incident..
4. NO..Do not accept that you or your employee was responsible for what happened.
5. NO...Do NOT offer that you or your insurance will cover medical expenses.
6..NO..Do not discuss or argue about the way the accident happened or what caused it.
7. YES..Document the entire incident alongwith names of witnesses and submit it to your insurance company.
8. YES...Hold on to all records pertaining to the accident.
This is not legal advice and maynot be taken as such. It is just my opinion from work and from reading a very interesting article in some hotel magazine.

Domain Names
I got addicted to domain names in the beginning of 2007 and the addiction is getting worse. I am holding around 200 names..some of them are parked with monetizing programs like sedo and namedrive.
My latest adventure in this matter is signing up with whypark.com. There, you just have to point your domain to their servers, and enter your choice of keywords, their system automatically creates content for your website by getting related feeds and articles. You supposedly get to keep the entire ppc revenue that is generated.
If you are interested in domain names as an investment, or if you are holding domain names that you have not been able to develop, it is good idea to park them or sign up with a company like whypark. Also, it does not hurt put the name on sale. The offer you get may be more than what you could have made by developing the domain.
Most of my domains have been registered through Godaddy.com. There are hundreds of other registrars, but I find Godaddy the easiest to work with.
More later on domains. I will be posting on my experience with namedrive, sedo and whypark in more detail in seperate posts.
I have also registered domains with dot.tk , that end with .tk instead of .com, but I managed to get great generic one word domains there. These same words with a .com extension would have definitely bought me a mansion large enough to hold a couple of my private planes while I am on my yacht. For example, I have BAHRAIN.TK and AIRFARES.TK. These are just two of the nearly one hundred that I have regsitered.
Try out dot.tk and register your names. They can be registered for free and pointed to your existing website, or you can register them for yearly prices starting at $6.95 per year. Believe me, there are good names sitting around and they are a great long term investment ( 2-3 years) . not bad at less than $7.00 per year.
You can get more information by clicking on this informational video from dot.tk.
